Moving from intention to implementation
We bridge the gap between syndemic theory and practice by helping organizations design practical strategies, strengthen capacity, and build integrated approaches that can be sustained over time.
Syndemic Readiness & Capacity Assessment
Understand where you are before deciding where to go.
Organizations often have more syndemic capacity than they realize. Surveillance teams may already integrate multiple data sources. Programs may coordinate across disease areas. Agencies may already braid funding from multiple sources to support shared priorities or populations. Frontline staff may routinely address interconnected health and social needs even when those activities are not formally described as syndemic.
A Syndemic Readiness & Capacity Assessment provides a structured examination of these existing strengths while identifying the organizational, operational, and structural barriers that may limit greater integration.
Depending on organizational needs, assessments may include document and policy review, leadership and staff interviews, surveys, focus groups, workflow analysis, and review of existing programs, partnerships, and data systems.
Syndemic Strategy & Implementation Planning
Turn syndemic goals into an actionable plan.
Organizations may embrace syndemic principles while still struggling to determine what implementation should actually look like.
We help leadership teams translate broad aspirations into practical strategies that define priorities, responsibilities, milestones, and measures of progress.
This work can include development of organizational syndemic frameworks, strategic priorities, implementation roadmaps, governance and accountability structures, cross-program workflows, and measures for tracking progress.
The objective is not to create another strategic plan that sits on a shelf. It is to develop a realistic pathway for changing how work gets done.

Training, Facilitation & Technical Assistance
Build the knowledge and internal capacity needed to sustain change.
Syndemic transformation cannot depend indefinitely on an outside consultant.
We provide customized training, leadership facilitation, workshops, and technical assistance designed to help teams understand syndemic concepts in the context of their own work.
Rather than offering only broad introductions to syndemic theory, sessions can be tailored to specific audiences—including executives, epidemiologists, program staff, disease intervention specialists, evaluators, community partners, and multidisciplinary teams.
Topics may range from foundational syndemic concepts to organizational implementation, integrated surveillance, program design, evaluation, cross-sector collaboration, and translating syndemic evidence into action.
The goal is to leave organizations with greater internal capacity than when the engagement began.
Syndemic Implementation Advisor
Support organizations through change.
Moving toward a syndemic approach does not end when an assessment is completed or an implementation plan is approved. Meaningful change takes time, and organizations often benefit from experienced guidance as new approaches are introduced, tested, refined, and sustained.
Through our Syndemic Implementation Advisor service, we provide ongoing fractional advisory and technical assistance support to organizations navigating this transition. We work alongside executive leaders, implementation teams, and program staff as a trusted external partner—helping maintain momentum, work through emerging challenges, and translate strategy into day-to-day practice.
Support can be tailored to the organization and may include leadership advising, implementation coaching, facilitation of cross-program or cross-sector teams, review of emerging policies and workflows, problem-solving around implementation barriers, development of performance measures, interpretation of implementation data, and preparation for key planning or decision-making discussions.
The level and duration of support can be scaled to organizational needs, from focused assistance during a critical phase of implementation to an ongoing fractional advisory relationship.
Our goal is to help organizations maintain momentum from planning through implementation—while building the internal capacity needed to sustain change over time.
